•       Danni Paffard, UK Uncut

Chaired by: Neal Lawson, Chair of Compass and Andrew Simms, fellow of nef (the new economics foundation).

The concept of the public has been systematically eroded over the past four decades, replaced by private and corporate interests.

What was good for them was deemed good for all. But from banking to politicians and the media that has been shown to be false.

The only way further crises can be avoided so that Britain can transition to a new economy and society is though the reassertion of a "public interest" in political and corporate life.

Join us for a citizens’ assembly to explore and debate ideas to put the public interest back into the heart of public life.

Please note that this event is not ticketed but we request that you register your interest to enable us to manage numbers.

We look forward to seeing you there.
